【抜群の吸水性の秘密】
通常、高級綿として扱われる超長綿は細くて長いくしなやかな繊維にとって醸し出される上質感がありますが、しっとりも同時に持っています。そしてこのしっとり感は、コットンに含まれている綿蝋（油分）が寄与しているのです。綿蝋を落とせば吸水性はアップしますが、しっとり感が失われます。ここのバランスをとりながらタオルは製品化されているます。

今回のラミーコットン糸の、55％を占めるラミーには余計な油分はなく吸水性がよく、しかも光沢と適度なハリをもたらします。ラミー100％にしないのは、それだと硬くなりすぎて肌に直接触れるタオルには適さなくなくなるからです。

そこでコットンの出番です。

45%のコットンが柔らかさを受け持ちます。このコットンは綿蝋がすくないカリフォルニアのサンホーキンバレー産を使用しています。サンホーキン綿には天然のねじれ強く、ラミーだけでは実現できない膨らみとソフトさタオルのパイルに与えています。あとはどれぐらいの比率で混ぜるかです。
ラミー55％、コットン45%の混合比率にたどり着くまでに試行錯誤を繰り返し、随分月日を重ねました。そしてたどり着いたのが55：45の比率です。この絶妙のブレンドによってもたらされる高い吸水性と爽やかな触感を是非体験してください！

【繊維にやさしい名水と酵素による仕上げ】
ラミーコットンタオルの糸は新潟の紡績工場で生産、今治でタオルの製織と洗浄、仕上げを行っています。特に仕上げ工程は今治でも名高い技術とこだわりを持つ（株）河上工芸所さんにお願いしました。西日本最高峰・石鎚山の伏流水（名水100選）を使用し、一般に使用する苛性ソーダや精練剤などの化学薬品は一切使用せず、天然酵素のみで仕上げています。酵素での仕上げによって糸を痛めることなく、柔らかく、吸水性の良いタオルが出来上がります。下図は綿100％のパイルの表面変化の比較写真ですが、ラミーコットン糸においても同様の効果となります。

　世界随一の優しい風合いタオルだと思います。まさに、新しいタオルの発明品。
　ホテルのスパ職務経験から、様々なタオルに触れてきましたが、とても優しい包容力のある肌触りに感銘を受けました。また、それでいて軽いのも嬉しいです。濡れたまま室内に干していても、他のタオルにくらべ乾きが速い点も驚きました。また、不思議と残臭も残りにくく爽やかです。

肌触りのいいバスタオル。すべすべしていて、濡れた肌の上を這わしてもほとんど抵抗なく滑る感じ。それでいて、一度なでただけで、水分をすっきりと拭き取りきってしまう。

お風呂上りに使っていますが、さ〜っとふけてしまう楽さと、しばらくそのまま肩にかけておきたくなる肌触り。日々の快楽がここに。

いままで使ってきたどのタオルとも違う感触です。
麻やヘチマのようなピシッとした感触が先にきて、あとからふんわりやわらか感がやってきます。
驚いたのが、あえて家族が全身を拭いたすぐあとに使ってみたのですが、それでも普通に使うのと変わらない感触、吸水力でした。
